Vintage Leo Kottke (11:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
Mark Hanson, author of two Leo Kottke volumes and numerous other guitar books, and prolific transcriber of Kottke, will teach three of Leo Kottke's vintage fingerstyle masterpieces: "Brain of the Purple Mountain", "Watermelon" and "Driving of the Year Nail" from 1969's classic 6- & 12-String Guitar album. Bring your guitar (6- or 12-string) in standard tuning.

Travis Picking Delights – Breaking into "Solo Style" (2:00-4:00 PM)
Mark, the author of the best selling Art of Contemporary Travis Picking, provides detailed insights into the alternating-thumb style of fingerpicking that is so popular in so many genres. Included are several of Mark's newly composed/arranged exercises and tunes, all designed to expand your Travis Picking abilities. For advanced beginners through upper intermediates.
